Mobile Money Household Survey Dashboard

MASAE Analytics was tasked by the World Bank to develop a dashboard highlighting the most important findings from a household survey on the use of mobile money services in Somalia. The interactive platform enabled users to analyse and visualise key trends, supporting evidence-based policy and programme design.

Why This Matters

Mobile money plays a critical role in financial inclusion, especially in regions with limited access to traditional banking. Understanding how households use these services is essential for expanding access, improving products, and supporting economic resilience.

Our Approach

  • Dashboards and Platform Development:
Created an interactive dashboard to present survey results in an accessible, user-friendly format.

  • Data Visualisation:
Enabled users to explore key metrics and trends, supporting deeper analysis and understanding.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
Designed the platform to meet the needs of policymakers, financial service providers, and researchers.

Results and Impact

The dashboard has supported data-driven decision-making, helping stakeholders identify opportunities and challenges in Somalia’s mobile money ecosystem.
